Need some Crazy Canuk advice on this ride

I have put together the following route for our trip home from Sturgis in 2010. I know there is a much shorter way but hea I guess I aint good very good sense of direction after leaveing Sturgis. Any Way if any of you Crazy Canuks care to comment on this route as to if there should be any changes and what not, hell as far as I know I may have mapped a bunch of dirt roads. Please comment away thats why I start planning early.

Rick,

Being that I have rode home to Winnipeg many times from Sturgis....here is how I would recommend you do it.

Head from Sturgis north through Dickinson and head up towards Minot taking the route through the ND badlands area....you will be riding through a reserve but it is a really nice route.

Cross into Canada at the International Peace Gardens (south of Brandon).

Head north towards Brandon and then take Highway 2 towards Winnipeg.

When you get close to Winnipeg.....call me (I'll give you my number).

I'm sure I can give you a place to stay in Winnipeg....

Then to Thunderbay it is basically down Highway #1....

Now...if you want to wander....I can definitely find you some wandering spots...lol

Thanks for the reccomendations Copper. That is exactly why I start planning these trips early so I can get input like this. Not sure what the end route is going to be but had to start some where. Once I know how much time I will have for the trip I'll be able to lock in the exact route. Never been to Canada yet which is why we are thinking about this route. still got plenty of time to get it all figured out. Thanks for the offer for some where to stay. May take you up on that if this pans out and your not in Sturgis when we decide to go thru there.

I might be on my way home at the same time...

It's a one day ride if you can go 700 miles in a day...

Rick,

You and Misty can make a run for the Canadian Bash in June just to try the route.

I was looking at doing the Northern route also, Just have to see what vacation time is going to be like this year,

I do believe I would believe a Moose. Had one of those damn Moose encounters a coupke weeks ago while Deer hunting.

We would do the Canadian bash but sitters for the kids are hard to come buy. Vacation time from work is easy got about 2 months of vacation time right now.
