About hot water heaters, I changed over to tankless automatic natural gas hot water heaters 6 yrs ago and I love them. You never run out of hotwater, plus my utility bill droped by over $2400 a year by switching from electrical tank to gas tankless. replaced 2 exlarge electric to 2 NG tankless.

Tankless HW heaters are terrific. You have a computer, Mr. WRider, put it to good use. Everything you want to know is right there. I always read the comments of people who have bought and used a product I'm interested. I combine that with info from Consumer Reports and I've never been sorry about big ticket items that I've purchased.

You are right MSH but I'm sure if I did enough research, I'd find about as many bad reports as good reports and then I'd be as confused as ever. On almost any subject you can find reviews or comments on both sides of any issue and it is hard to make a decision based on that alone. I do like the Consumer Reports idea, hopefully they are unbiased and don't have an agenda to fulfill. Thanks for the suggestion!
